Following the success of the 2007 BioForum, the Victorian Chapter of Ausbiotech held their second BioForum at the Sheraton Four Points in Geelong on 21st and 22nd August 2008.  The conference attracted ~ 100 delegates from the Australian biotechnology sector including Policy makers, CEO's and academics.

Geelong was well represented at the BioForum.  Delegates were invited to tour Deakin University and the GTP to view the progress that has been made in the last 12 months.  BioGeelong hosted the BioForum dinner which gave Dr James Campbell, Chair of BioGeelong and Chief Operating Officer of Chemgenex Pharmaceuticals to promote the local Biotechnology industry.  James also chaired the plenary session on Day 2.  Professor Andrew Parratt from Deakin University presented on “How to Perform Successful Partnerships”.

Once again the BioForum was a huge success for Ausbiotech and the Geelong scientific community.
